What is your name, bra size, and secret power?
Veronica, 16D, my ability to consume chocolate at a lightening rate.
What makes you the happiest in life?
Being around my friends and family, the banter, the support, the food. It is where I feel content.
Who inspires you the most and why?
People who work hard, are smart, empathetic, and open-minded. Why? Because you often encounter adversity when you have to work hard to achieve something, and I admire the tenacity in people to no give up and remain level-headed and kind through it all.
Among your friends, what are best known for?
Being able to see and understand the point of view of others.
What's something most people wouldn't know about you?
I grew up on a healthy dose of toilet humour and it still cracks me up!
What is your favourite way to get your body moving grooving?
Body Combat at Les Mills. The regulars are vocal exercisers and it makes for the best exercise environment.
What do you do for yourself?
Moisturise and exercise.
What has been your biggest body struggle?
I had quite hairy legs as a kid and was mocked which made me really conscious of them right through into my early twenties. I shaved and had laser done and that rid me of my insecurity about them.
What do you do to boost your body confidence on days you're feeling down about your body?
Wash my hair and put on something fabulous to wear, especially a colour that suits me, and maybe a bit of lippy!
What's the best thing about being a woman?
Our ability to empathise and understand others and the capability to flex around them.
What is beauty to you?
Confidence. Nothing like seeing a woman walk down the street who is feeling fabulous.
What's the best piece of advice you've heard or received about body confidence?
How you feel about your body reflects what you see. If you want something different, start with your perspective.
What's your go-to favourite Rose & Thorne bra?
My favourite is the Maternity Bra. I find the bras to be extremely comfortable, super easy to work with one hand when you're trying to feed a squirmy little baby and they sit well under my clothes. I am also surprised at how quickly they dry, much faster than reusable nappies and considering how often they have been chucked in the machine with everything else, they have worn really well. If you can, I recommend getting some help from the Rose & Thorne team on fit as these have done me pre-pregnancy and I'm now 6 months down the track and they still fit.
Thanks, Veronica! We love you!
